Our Mission

The mission of Lighthouse Christian Academy is to promote Lifelong service through Christian values and Academic excellence.

Our History

The Lake Worth United Methodist Church Day School was founded in 1977 as a part of the church’s community missions program. Through the school, the church intended to minister to the needs of children in our community with a Two-Day, Three-Day, or Five-Day program, as well as a Five-Day kindergarten program. In January, 2000, the school was incorporated under the name of Eagle Mountain Lighthouse Christian Academy, called Lighthouse Christian Academy. The preschool continues to grow, along with an elementary school with grades K-6. In January 2006, the church, now known as Lighthouse Fellowship, A United Methodist Community of Faith, moved to its current location at 7200 Robertson Road.

LCA Today

Lighthouse Christian Academy, a non-denominational school, is a bright light to the communities surrounding Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth. Students are taught by loving and devoted teachers who daily integrate biblical principles into all academic areas. Class sizes are small and each child is treated as a unique individual. Eligible children of all denominations are lovingly welcomed into the school. Elementary grades, Kindergarten through 6th, are taught through challenging curriculum and enrichment programs Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-3:30 pm. Preschool classes are available part-time or full-time for ages 2-4 years, from 9 am-2 pm. Before and After School Care is available for all LCA students who need extended hours.

Our Vision

Under the leadership of Senior Pastor, Frank Briggs, it is the vision of the Lighthouse Fellowship family to continue to grow the school to a fully accredited Kindergarten through 12th grade Academy and Preschool. Plans for the 40 acre church and school campus include separate school buildings housing two classes per grade level, a gymnasium, and playing fields.
